In January 1996 the creek was frozen solid,
and the January thaw wreaked havoc
and the ice piled up on our creek road (a dirt road)
and beyond into peoples yards and homes.
The road was closed off for three days.
This is the only road out of here.
But we are prepared and stocked with food, supplies, and a generator,
which has been well used over the years.
